3 Relics of the Kingdom of Jenggala, historical High


The Kingdom of jenggala formed from the Division of the Kingdom was made by King Airlangga due to power struggle between two people of the Crown Prince. The Kingdom of Kahuripan is divided into two areas, namely the Kingdom of Jenggala in the eastern part and western part Panjalu. Both this Kingdom is bounded by Mount Kawi and the Brantas River. The Kingdom of Jenggala founded in 1042 and ended around the year 1130. Location of the center of the Kingdom was now estimated to be in Sidoarjo, East Java. 

  • Candi Prada

The temple is located in the hamlet of Reno Prada Pencil Sidoarjo, but unfortunately the chandi had been tampered with by inhabitants in the year 1965. Little is known about the relic site of the Kingdom of Jenggala, moreover there are already devastated as this temple. Very unfortunate legacy of chandi this Prada isn't there because it is damaged.

  • The Inscription Down Hyang II & Sirah Keting

This inscription was published by the Kingdom of jenggala in the inscription tells the story of the war between the kingdoms of Jenggala and Airlangga. This inscription tells about the defeat of the Kingdom of Jengggala by the Government which led Sri Jayabaya.

  • The brick pile site in Sidoarjo
